Want to get your music featured on the Homoground podcast? Here’s your chance!
The music featured on the Homoground podcast is user-submitted, meaning every single band we feature on the show has submitted their music directly to us. Because of this process, we’ve developed long lasting relationships with many of the bands featured which feels like one huge family!
Are you ready to share your music with us? We prioritize independent, unsigned artists. If you are a band manager looking to promote a project, please keep in mind we will only accept music from a specific project created by queer artists once a year. Multiple submissions from a band manager/promoter will get the artist put to the bottom of the list.
What we’re looking for:
- Tracks are clearly recorded, mixed, and no longer than 7 minutes. While we value DIY and home-made demo recordings, we are unable to use files that contain too much static noise or blown out audio levels. Ask yourself “would I want to listen to this in my earbuds?”
- No homophobic/transphobic/racist etc. content!!
- We don’t feature showtunes, broadway musicals or theatrical pieces. There are tons of podcasts out there specifically for this genre, please submit to them instead.
- We prioritize bands who take the time to write out thoughtful answers to the questions on the submission application. Applications that read as if they are just trying to get exposure wherever they can will be put to the bottom of the list. The more information you provide about how your work aligns with our work, the higher your chances of getting a feature.
We are currently NOT accepting submissions.

We know you work hard on your music, and we’re working hard to get it out there. If you are able, please consider supporting us on Patreon!
Frequently Asked Questions
I submitted before but wasn’t featured.
Over the years, we received an overwhelming amount of submissions that we didn’t have the capacity or the necessary processes in place to handle it all. With the launch of this new website, we’ve developed new systems to process the submissions and stay organized. We also reset our submission queue for a fresh start. So if you submitted in the past and weren’t featured, feel free to submit again.
How long will it take before I’m featured?
Even though we have new systems, we are still a small team. We can’t promise that every submission will be featured, but we will do our best. Please do not submit more than once.
How else can I be involved with Homoground?
