Video Assistant Internship

Homoground is seeking professionally minded, hard working students for our growing company. Ideal candidates will possess a desire to advance their learning and careers in a fun way that allows creativity and self expression. We highly encourage LGBTQ folk to apply.

This internship is available on a rolling basis with possible long-term opportunities for the dynamic performer. A minimum of 5 hours per week for 3 months is required. This is a virtual or physical opportunity, depending on your situation and/or school’s requirements. Students seeking to receive college credit for their internship experience are encouraged to apply. Through this internship, you’ll be able to apply your skills to work that you love, while being a part of a growing movement that is using music to promote social awareness. You will be given VIP access to events & shows and be credited for your work, which will be shared with a large international audience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Attend specific music shows & events to shoot live performances, behind-the-scenes footage and interviews.
  • Assist with editing videos in a way that consistently reflects Homoground’s style.
  • Upload videos to Homoground.TV on a designated schedule.
  • Other creative projects may be assigned depending on your interests

Job Qualifications:

  • Proficiency and access to Final Cut Pro 7 or above
  • Familiarity with Motion, multiple codecs and file conversion a plus
  • Access to hi-definition camera preferred
  • Quick turnaround time and works well with deadlines
  • Works well in a diverse, collaborative team environment
  • A positive attitude, detail-oriented and self-motivated
  • Tech savvy & active in social media—(aka you know how to use Vimeo & Youtube. Bonus points if you’re obsessed with making Vines).
  • Ability to take on multiple assignments at once

Photo Assistant Internship

This is a virtual or physical opportunity, depending on your school’s requirements. Students seeking to receive college credit for their internship experience are encouraged to apply. A minimum of 5 hours per week required and is unpaid. You will be given VIP access to events & shows and photo credits for your work.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Attend specific music shows & events to shoot images and/or video
  • Select imagery (or shoot images) to accompany our website & social networks
  • Edit images and add watermarks
  • Other creative projects may be assigned depending on your interests
  • Remote work may be required

Job Qualifications:

  • Currently studying or high level interest in photography, journalism, graphic design or related field
  • Proficient in and access to Photoshop
  • Works well in a diverse, collaborative team environment
  • A positive attitude
  • Detail-oriented
  • Self-motivated
  • Ability to take on multiple assignments at once
  • Quick turnaround time
